Senior Sustainable Procurement Specialist

Transitioning Auckland's transport network on such a mammoth scale is no mean feat and we need a talented team to ensure we are up to this task.
Currently we are seeking a** Senior Sustainable Procurement Specialist.**
The purpose of the role is to support the Science and Sustainability group with embedding sustainable procurement, supplier diversity (including Māori procurement), quality employment, and responsible and ethical supply chains across AT's projects, services, supplier relationships and contract management.
**Te Whiwhinga mahi - The Opportunity**
The Senior Sustainable Procurement Specialist is responsible for:
- Delivery on AT's Māori Spend targets and broader long-term supplier diversity targets, including the successful establishment, ongoing management and future expansion of the AT Kake Mai Emerging Suppliers Programme.
- AT contribution to the Auckland Council Group Sustainable Procurement Community of Practice, to align Group Shared Services Sustainable Procurement strategy, targets, policies, and initiatives.
- Project advisory on sustainable procurement and social & economic equity outcomes.
- Implementation of Auckland Transport's Sustainable Procurement Action Plan to deliver positive sustainable outcomes via AT procurement activities.
**Ko koe tēnei | About you**
Minimum:
- Minimum of Bachelors degree in relevant field or equivalent
- Minimum of 5-7 yrs experience in sustainable procurement
- Practical experience with working with suppliers and contracts.
Desired:
- Knowledge of infrastructure industry and/or public transport
- Experience within Local Government context
- Knowledge of sustainability or social procurement
