The Council's Digital function plays a pivotal role in our organisation through its range of technology and services, supporting the delivery of the Council's services to the community. There is virtually nothing that happens in our organisation without some digital touch.

The role of Digital Portfolio Planner covers a diverse portfolio of work, and the key areas of accountability will include:

- Partnering with the wider organisation and internal Digital staff to provide high-quality programme scheduling and analysis
- Reviewing critical paths and constraints and work with the wider Digital teams to mitigate project slippage or conflicts between project delivery and business as usual commitments
- Providing guidance and advice on resource planning across projects, developing frameworks for capturing, reporting and improving the data
- Maintaining a high-level overview of programmes of work, understanding the projects that are critical to the organisation
- Working alongside other key roles to understand risks and issues and re-schedule work in order to ensure efficient and productive outcomes

This role works within our large and diverse Digital unit and our ideal applicant will:

- Have previous scheduling, programming or portfolio management skills and experience, ideally within a digital space
- Experience in analytical, planning and modelling software such as advanced Excel, MS Project Online, or other portfolio management tools
- Bring the wow factor - through their awesome personality and aspirations for a bit of leadership and future development down the track
- Be happy to live in a somewhat fluid environment with the odd bit of chaos and who likes to get on top of problems and figure out solutions
