**Te Mahi - About the job**:
RNZ is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic senior journalist with demonstrable experience with breaking news and a track record of original stories for radio, current affairs programmes and digital and social media platforms.

Your experience working at a senior level will mean that you are organised, efficient and reliable, using your initiative to report on a mix of original and assigned stories, and have a comprehensive knowledge of important issues facing New Zealanders.

You will be ready to hit the road, relying on key contacts and sources to drive story ideas and deliver first-class journalism.

You will:

- Have superior writing, interviewing and live broadcasting skills
- Be a skilled digital reporter
- Bring accuracy, attention to detail, curiosity and creativity to your work
- File written, audio and visual content to tight radio and digital deadlines
- Be flexible and able to commit to shift work
