Our Deputy Heads of News drive daily content from start to finish across digital, print and radio, displaying sharp news judgement and the highest journalistic standards, fostering brilliant ideas and seeing them through to smooth and successful execution on all platforms.

In this role you’ll act as content chief - the morning or nightly leader of our nationwide news team, making editorial decisions across our award-winning platforms from our industry-leading online network and our world-class broadcast news operation to the agenda-setting New Zealand Herald print edition, our complex newsroom machine will run seamlessly under your management.

You’ll be skilled at thinking laterally and creatively, managing multiple tasks and deadlines under pressure, and guiding a team who are the best in the business.
