Senior Business Director is a senior leadership role within the agency, and one of our most important client roles. You are responsible for a strong agency and client relationship based on a common ambition, and one where agency teams are motivated and inspired to produce best in class creative work.
The Senior Business Directors provides leadership and strategic direction, and in addition provides perspective and leadership in the development of the highest possible quality of the product.

**Here are the things we want you to do**:

- Leads your team and your clients to carve out the direction strategically and creatively. You take responsibility for leading the team in achieving the direction.
- Reinforce efforts of Business Directors, Business/ Project Managers/Account Executives both internally and externally.
- You will take responsibility for the financial management and bottom-line accountability including profitability of your accounts, ongoing client satisfaction and team development.
- You'll work in unison with Planning and Creative, as an architect of opportunity — creating markets for our ideas, and enabling creativity with purpose.
- To be known for staying ahead of the curve with products, experiences and innovations, sharing this knowledge to help create and deliver innovative, creative and compelling customer experiences to the digital world with content and interactive components.
- Lead, mentor and grow your integrated delivery teams to consistently design solutions founded on clear strategies and brilliant ideas.
- Identify new business opportunities both with existing clients and within the overall market. From time to time, you will work on special agency projects and client pitches.
- Creates new solutions to answer client business problems or marketing objectives.
- Be a proactive member of the wider agency and Account Management team in all aspects, championing the agency vision and leading initiatives
- Develops and maintains positive and developing client relationships - you know what it takes to make our clients love us

- 8+ years of agency and team leadership and experience improving and proven ability to juggle multiple jobs whilst maintaining good attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills as a team player with experience training others.
- A passion for creativity and doing great work.
- Ability to think beyond execution and to offer solutions rather than problems.
- Resilience and being calm under pressure.
- Thrive in a busy environment.
- Possess strong communication and presentation skills.
- Be well organised, self-starting and able to prioritise work effectively
- A natural collaborator and people person; participating fully as an integral member of the team, working co-operatively and collaboratively with the team and wider agency.
- Demonstrates high level of commitment and support to both Colenso and the team.

This position will be based out of 100 College Hill, Freemans Bay, Auckland.
