Business Director

MBM is looking for a Business Director to join their growing team.

About the role

This senior role will take ownership of an established group of clients, stepping in as the day-to-day strategic lead and key point of contact. You will drive campaign planning, shape implementation responses and work closely with specialist business units to deliver smart, effective media solutions. Reporting into a Group Business Director, you will mentor a planner, support the wider team and ensure excellence in delivery, strong client relationships and commercial performance.

Your scope will include:

• Leading strategic planning and implementation responses across your client portfolio
• Managing financial performance including scope alignment and profitability
• Supporting the CSD to identify opportunities for growth within the portfolio
• Guiding and developing a high performing team including reviews and development plans
• Shaping internal workflow to ensure timely and efficient delivery
• Building strong agency and media owner relationships at a senior level
• Representing MBM within industry forums and events to help elevate the agency profile

What will set you up for success:

• 6-7 years of media agency experience with strong client servicing and communication
• Proven ability to lead planning across offline channels with attention to detail and prioritisation
• Confidence in stepping up to lead conversations and guide both clients and internal teams
• Experience managing and developing direct reports
• Curious thinking with an eye for commercial opportunities and continuous improvement
• Nice to have experience in TV buying or basic digital planning, particularly social
