Sika is a leading international manufacturer of a high quality, diverse range of specialist materials used extensively in the construction and industrial sectors. Globally, the company has been operating for 100+ years and we have been in NZ for 60+ years.**About the role**
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the company in the role of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) and Compliance Manager. Reporting to the General Manager, you will drive continuous improvement in HSE culture and performance throughout the business through target setting and engagement with all staff. You will maintain existing ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 certificates.
- You will represent Sika New Zealand regionally as required, with regard to HSEQ and sustainability related meetings and activities.
- We have branches in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch and you will be based in Avondale, Auckland however occasionally some travel is required to our national branches. The role is Monday to Friday working 40 hours each week.**About you**
We are looking for someone who can make an immediate impact on the health and safety side of the job, and we are willing to provide support to increase your knowledge in the sustainability and quality work areas. Ideally, you will have an appropriate tertiary qualification in health and safety and be suitably experienced in ISO 45001. In particular, we are seeking:
- Strong communication skills and experience in engaging with a broad range of stakeholders
- Demonstrated background in the achievement of HSE objectives, ideally within a similar environment (manufacturing, warehousing or supply chain)
- Familiarity with HSE legislation within New Zealand
- You’ll also have a practical working knowledge of health and safety management systems, data analysis and interpretation
