- ** Train & Advise**: Deliver training and provide expert guidance to all employees, championing a culture of safety and responsibility.
- ** Investigate & Improve**: Lead investigations into incidents and near-misses, providing actionable recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- ** Report & Analyse**: Monitor HSEQ performance, prepare insightful reports, and drive data-backed decisions with leadership.
- ** Collaborate & Influence**: Work cross-functionally to integrate HSEQ considerations into daily operations and strategic decision-making.
- ** Stay Ahead**: Keep up with evolving regulations and standards, ensuring WM New Zealand remains a leader in HSEQ compliance.

**Qualifications** What We’re Looking For**
- A Tertiary Qualification (National certificate or diploma) in H&S or Environmental Science.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar H&S role (preferably within the waste management or related industry).
- A strong background in risk management and the ability to manage change effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of HSE, ACC, and HSNO legislation and standards.
- Familiarity with Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
- Strong communication and presentation skills — able to engage and influence at all levels.
