Our client is a well known organisation in the transport industry and they have an opportunity for a talented HR Business Partner to join them from their Auckland office.

**Your new role**

Working as part of a well established HR team, you'll partner with senior stakeholders, providing high quality strategic and operational advice and support with a key focus on ER / IR across your portfolios. Key responsibilities include:

- Proactively deliver HR strategy, policies and advice across the full HR remit
- Acting as a strategic partner to guide and influence the business
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the HR strategy
- Coach Managers in developing Leadership capability
- Identify opportunities for performance and engagement improvements and initiatives
- Develop collaborative relationships between Unions and employees

**What you'll need to succeed**

You'll be an accomplished Business Partner with 5+ years experience working in Generalist advisory roles and a strong working knowledge of NZ employment legislation. You'll have well-developed coaching and influencing skills and the ability to build strong and trusting relationships at all levels, both internally and externally. As an expert and with an interest in ER and a background working in highly unionised environments, you'll enjoy a role with a heavy focus in this area.

You'll thrive in a role where your strategic and operational HR experience is well utilised and where you'll be working as part of a wider HR team within a complex business environment. As a true Partner, you'll enjoy mentoring and developing others to build capability in all areas and will perform well in an environment where you can use your initiative and sound judgement skills.

Covering a portfolio across New Zealand, there will be some travel involved.
