We're looking for a dynamic and passionate individual to step into the role of Team Leader Activities.

**About the role**:
You will lead and inspire an evolving team to deliver high quality recreation and sporting activities and programmes across the Recreation & Sport Centre's facilities. This includes the delivery of pre-school gymnastics and tumble times programmes; campaigns to promote casual swimming in our awesome range of pools; as well as working across our teams to develop new activity initiatives within our Centres. Delivery can occur with staff, contractors and/or community partnerships. Your focus will be to generate participation efficiently and ensure we are using our facilities resourcefully while promoting our facilities to new user groups.

**We need our Team Leader - Activities to have**:

- Have at least five years practical experience in the sports or recreation industry, including two years of leadership experience;
- Be confident engaging collaboratively across teams and working with community groups to deliver programmes;
- Be outcome focused and have the ability to prioritise your workload and deliver on planned outcomes;
- Have a full New Zealand driver's licence;
- Hold a Comprehensive First Aid Certificate.

**_Hours of work -_** **_40 hours predominantly over Mon - Friday_**

**_ Location - Based at Pioneer Recreation Centre but work across the Rec & Sport Network._**

Whilst staff working at the Christchurch City Council are not currently required to be vaccinated, applicants need to be aware that should the COVID-19 environment change, roles across the organisation will be assessed, and the requirement to be vaccinated may be reviewed.
