We have a fantastic opportunity for a Team Leader / Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Christchurch. If you're an experienced engineer ready for the next step, or a proven team leader with a passion for mentoring, managing projects, and delivering client-focused solutions, this could be the ideal role for you.

You’ll play a pivotal role in guiding our high-performing residential engineering team, supporting projects across the South Island and throughout New Zealand via our cutting-edge online engineering platform, Specifi.

**About the role**

As Team Leader, you'll be responsible for leading a team of residential engineers, overseeing project allocation and delivery, and ensuring the quality and timeliness of our structural engineering solutions.

Your work will span a wide variety of residential projects, from bespoke architectural homes to complex structural alterations. You’ll also:

- Lead project planning, proposals, preliminary and detailed designs.
- Supervise on-site investigations, monitor progress, and ensure timely reporting.
- Foster strong client relationships through excellent service and communication.
- Collaborate with our Structural Manager to drive the continued evolution of our Specifi platform, expanding capabilities and client offerings.

**About you**
- Qualified with a BEng (Hons) in Structural Engineering, or equivalent.
- CPEng is an advantage or working towards chartership.
- Professional engineering experience in NZ, with good residential design, and proven seismic experience to NZ Codes and strong technical knowledge.
- Experience in managing structural engineering projects and leading technical teams.
- Strong commercial awareness and risk management skills.
- A passion for mentoring, team development, and delivering client success.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
