We are looking for a talented Technical Consultant to join our team. This is now your opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation that enjoys celebrating success and delivering challenging projects to some of the most innovative airports around the globe.
**About the role**:
You will be committed to learning how to analyse service requests from customers providing programming and software delivery expertise for modifications and fixes of Veovo software and solutions. You will be expected to be an active participant in all respects of your assigned team.
You will undertake specific Product and Technology training to enable you to get started in your role and this process will be supported by your team and your Manager on an ongoing basis.
**Responsibilities of the role**:
- Carry out programming of software modifications and new developments
- Documentation of code and user documentation
- Installation of new systems including project management
- Assist with software and process Quality Assurance
- Provide customer training
- Analyse customer or new product requirements and writing specifications
- Provide 24 hour on-call problem resolution support (rostered)
- Guide and Mentor other team members.
- Be a positive influential force for technical best practice within the team.
**Requirements of the role**
- Technical and programming skills and knowledge
- SDLC knowledge
- Experience working with an object orientated programming language
- Good analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail
- Capable using Standard software packages (such as MS Office, Drawing software, OS)
- An optimistic outlook on life, common sense and a sense of humour are essential A passion for excellence and a commitment to be the best.
- High levels of energy, sound judgement and determination to achieve with a sense of urgency.
- Relationship management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to creatively solve problems.
- Degree or equivalent level of experience.
- Detailed knowledge of airports operations (desirable)
