We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineer to significantly contribute to making a difference within our communities, to offer professional advice and technical services in wastewater engineering.
**Challenges of the role**:

- Carry out investigations and design solutions to wastewater issues.
- Supervise and administer professional service contracts related to wastewater.
- Ensure asset management plans and system are kept up to date, and all required monitoring, condition assessments and maintenance is undertaken.
- Report on the condition and performance of wastewater infrastructure and identify or make recommendations on renewal and upgrade projects.
- Evaluate the impacts of new developments and provide feedback and recommendations.
- Respond to immediate wastewater issues and contribute to the planning for long term management of wastewater infrastructure.
- Undertake project management on key wastewater projects and see projects through from inception to delivery.
- Engage with the community and form collaborative working relationships within Council and with contractors, consultants, regulatory bodies.
**You will need**:

- Proven technical understanding of wastewater engineering, including prior design experience, preferably in Asset Management.
- A minimum of 3 years wastewater experience and at least NZQA Level 6 in Engineering
