Join us as Lead Site Engineer for our Marine and Ports business and you’ll get to execute technical project engineering and site activities for electrical power system solutions projects. In your role, you’ll ensure activities for the allocated project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner, in accordance with contract specification, quality standards and safety requirements. Reporting to Local Division Manager, this position will be based in Grafton, New Zealand.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Defining site management tasks and ensuring these tasks are carried out in line with the project requirement
- Evaluating the risk and opportunities management for the electrical solutions projects. Supporting the Project Manager in overall project risk, opportunity assessments, and implementation of mitigating actions
- Ensuring HSE process fully followed throughout the project execution and acting as the ABB technical lead for the Marine and Ports Electrical Solutions projects
- Working with customer to shape and deliver ABB solutions and actively seeking feedback with customer to drive, deliver improvements
- Collaborating with project manager / procurement team to ensure that the technical requirements for equipment or services are communicated and agreed with potential suppliers

**Your background**:

- Degree / Master’s in Electrical Engineering with minimum 10 - 15 years of relevant experience from design and engineering of electrical system solutions for marine/offshore and port electrification projects is desired
- Hands on / site management experience related to electrical system project is desirable
- In depth engineering knowledge on Medium and Low voltage switchgear, protection relay selection and programming using PCM600 tool, Generators, Transformers, Motors, NER, AC Drives UPS, Harmonic filters is desirable
- Knowledge on Next Generation power system based on DC Grid Power System with Generator, energy storage (e.g., Battery), Consumers (Drives, off grid Converters) is advantageous
- Knowledge on Power system analysis & relay coordination using SKM / eTAP, MATLAB, AutoCAD, ePLAN tools is desirable
- Knowledge on Marine Systems, classification society requirement for Power system, international standards, equipment’s FAT, commissioning & trouble shooting is desired
- Knowledge on delivering integrated solution with Drives & Digital solution system
