Junior International Sourcing Manager

**The role**:
The Jr. Sourcing Manager is responsible for providing the bridge between Product and Operations teams, managing the communications between local and international stakeholders. The role sits in local/regional teams and owns the process from new ingredient requests through onboarding. They will source local new ingredients across multiple categories, manage product requests and act as the gatekeeper liaising with international stakeholders to see what is already available in the global portfolio of SKUs. Additionally, they will actively manage the SKU catalogue with Culinary and Procurement stakeholders identifying long-tail (infrequently) used SKUs, while seeking optimization opportunities within existing SKU catalogues.

The role, based in New Zealand, will report into the Head of Strategic Procurement ANZ, with a dotted line into the International Head of Sourcing & SKU Management, with regular interactions with international stakeholders and Sourcing Managers in other HelloFresh markets.

**What you’ll do**:

- Leads the project management for new ingredient requests between Product, Culinary, Procurement, and Food Safety & Quality Assurance teams.
- Owns the workflow for new ingredient requests, once handed over from the Product Operations team, and acts as the gatekeeper responsible for ensuring a strict adherence to the standardized process, ultimately managing the progression and/or rejection of all new ingredient requests.
- Conducts market research for all new ingredient requisition proposals before connecting with local suppliers or handing over to the Category Managers for sourcing/tender if multiple markets are involved.
- Manages stakeholder engagement and communications between local and international teams to ensure the NID approach is consistent with other markets.
- Drives SKU rationalization and optimization efforts locally, identifying opportunities and then reviewing with appropriate stakeholders to guarantee efficient SKU catalogues.
- Coordinates new developments with Category Managers, Culinary, Food Safety & Quality Assurance, and other markets.
- Facilitates a speedy SKU onboarding process, but also ensures that the new SKU creation process is coordinated across markets, which includes a review of potential suitable alternative SKUs already available in another market’s portfolio.
- Support Category Managers in cost savings initiatives through improved SKU catalogue management, identifying opportunities for SKU consolidation/rationalization, and/or sourcing from existing international catalogues.
- Support SKU improvement initiatives with Culinary and Quality teams to tweak specifications or formulations that yield improved ingredient performance.
