As a technical expert you will also be supporting our internal stakeholders to confidently manage lower value activity. Ngā kawenga matua | Key Responsibilities
- Leading the development of sourcing strategies for allocated strategic, large or complex sourcing projects
- Undertaking the planning and scheduling of allocated strategic, large or complex sourcing projects.
- The efficient and effective delivery of allocated sourcing projects.
- Providing technical oversight and guidance to other sourcing team personnel.
- Providing sourcing advice and guidance to other Fire and Emergency personnel in the management of their own sourcing activities.
- Prepare papers, including sourcing strategies and evaluation reports
- Support sourcing innovation, working closely with the Sourcing Manager, Manager Capability and Practice and Head of Procurement.
- Developing and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with relevant Fire and Emergency staff and other parties.
Ngā whakaritenga matua | Key Requirements
- Strong technical procurement experience (7+ years), including managing strategic, complex and high value sourcing projects.
- Knowledge and practical experience in the provision of procurement advice to stakeholders.
- Understanding of risk management in a procurement context e.g. Health & Safety.
- A sound understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis
- Strong communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.
- Well-developed analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Advanced experience in managing diverse internal and external relationships.
