**Mō te tūranga | About the role**
- This role involves direct contact with our customers across a wide and varied range of communication channels.
- You will provide administration and customer service support while being responsible for transactional processes and account maintenance tasks on a daily basis.
- General administration including correspondence for rate invoicing and collection.
- Manage and maintain customer accounts for collection of unpaid rates.
- Providing the first point of contact for all rates customer interactions with Waikato Regional Council, managing high volumes daily across the following channels:
- WRC Rates phone queue
- Face to face at rates counter/reception
- Through any third-party agent
- Online rates customer Web forms
- Request for service
- Change my details
- Online direct debit
- Request e-billing

- You will be keen to grow your experience in administration of customer accounts and local government.
**Mō ngā pūkenga | Qualifications and experience**
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent.
- Customer service, account administration/management and debt collection experience.
- Competent Microsoft office suite skills are required along with being keen to learn new system and processes.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in customer service within an office environment as well as account/business administration experience.
