**Production Manager (Constructive)**:

- Location: Auckland, NZ, 0624- Onsite or Hybrid: OnSite**Babcock New Zealand **are looking for a **Production Manager (Constructive) **to lead a team of highly skilled trades workers at the** **_Devonport Naval Base_**

**About the role**

This rare opportunity will see you lead a high-performing trades team in all constructive aspects on repairs & maintenance to the NZ Navy Fleet.

The position is one of four trade specific Production Managers, delivering as a single team, reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager.

The Production Manager is a key leadership role within the business managing a team safely delivering industrial and subcontractor work on site.

**Key responsibilities**
- Accountable for the effective and safe delivery of production activities to time and budget in line with company procedures.
- Proactively manage subcontractors to allow the required capability and capacity to be delivered.
- Manage their demand plan to enable successful delivery of the scope across the programme.
- Responsible for accurate planning, including estimating, and delivering to the plan of production activities.
- Provide consistent production reporting across the programme for key stakeholders.
- Responsible for delivering risk management across the programme.
- Identify gaps, generate, develop and own key operational procedures, including Health, Safety, Environment and Quality procedures.
- Manage individual performance across the team
- Promote and encourage professional development within the team
- Set and deliver team objectives in line with the company’s direction
- Demonstrate leadership qualities across the wider organisation
- Identify, develop and lead continuous improvement opportunities across the team

**About you**
- **Relevant qualification in an Engineering discipline**:

- Proven track record of being involved in delivering large complex ship refit (or similar) projects across a range of trade groups.
- Experience of cost control, managing budgets and managing schedules.
- Managing large production teams across a range of trade groups.
- Proven track record of managing an engineering industrial site safely.
- Ideally professional development sufficient to attain recognition as a Professional Engineer.
- Effective communicator across a range of stakeholders.
- Strong focus on Workplace Health & Safety
