Did you know, that together Canterbury and West Coast District Health Boards have the largest workforce in the South Island and the 6th largest in NZ? The two DHBs also share several essential business services like Human Resources (HR), or as we call it People & Capability. The HR Shared Service (HRSS) department pays people, supports rostering, creates contracts and other important legal stuff as well as helping our people when they have questions about their employment. It’s exciting stuff and we’re expanding to support the growth and delivery of the service. We’re increasing the size of our teams and also introducing some new roles.

**Mō te tūnga | About the role**
This Coordinator position is the glue that holds the HR Shared Services Leadership Team together. You will be directly contributing to the team’s objectives and outcomes by being the gatekeeper of key departmental information such as roadmaps, training plans and risk/issue logs. Excellent coordination skills will be needed in order to keep the HR administration, Payroll, Rostering and Customer Support Teams aligned with the right information, team meetings and reminders.
In this role, you will support the HR Shared Service Manager and Leadership Team. This is a permanent, full time role, based at the CDHB Corporate Office.
**Key responsibilities of this role include**:
- Coordinating and maintaining key operations information, such as risk, issues and quality
- Reporting across the department
- Supporting training activities, such as logistics and schedules
- Maintaining a communication activity schedule and library
Supporting the HRSS manager and leadership team, including meeting preparation, such as reports and presentation
- General Administration

This role would suit someone who enjoys work collaboratively with various stakeholders across the business. The environment is fast paced and challenging, therefore you should be resilient and adaptable. As you will be supporting the HR Shared Service Manager and Leadership team, you should be reliable, organised, discreet and have the ability to take initiative. This role requires someone who has good coordination skills and who is able to keep initiatives tracking as well as bringing people along the journey.

Your skills will include:
- Experience in an administration or coordination or customer service role
- A background working in a large, complex and diverse environment would be advantageous
- Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Organisational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines
- A customer service approach to your work and contribute positively to the team
- A background in the Health Industry would be advantageous
- Knowledge and understanding of HR processes and systems would be advantageous
