About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Coordinator or HR Advisor ready to take the next step in their career 

You'll support a large, diverse employee portfolio in a fast-paced operational environment. While you won't lead complex ER cases, you'll gain valuable exposure by sitting in on higher-level matters and supporting through notetaking and documentation. You may also manage more straightforward issues such as basic disciplinaries and performance processes.

You'll be coached and mentored by a highly respected and supportive HR Manager, giving you the chance to build confidence and capability in ER and union engagement and other HR generalist functions.

What You'll Bring:

  • Generalist HR experience in manufacturing, logistics, or operational environments would be ideal
  • Knowledge of NZ employment legislation and ER processes
  • Experience drafting employment-related letters (e.g. disciplinary invitations, outcome letters) is essential
  • Experience in a unionised environment is preferred
  • Experience managing basic ER cases end-to-end preferred
  • Confident note-taking during ER meetings (e.g. disciplinaries)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting
  • Understanding of NZ employment legislation and HR processes
  • Ability to build trust-based relationships with frontline leaders
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and collaborative approach
