**Junior Mechanical Engineer **to join our team

As a
**Junior Mechanical Engineer**, you will be responsible for assisting with engineering design and installation for HVAC projects.

**1M** is one of the country’s leading commercial and infrastructure air conditioning mechanical service companies which provides design, build, and install services under the HVAC division of the OCS Group.

This a full-time position of 42.5 hours/week based in Penrose.

**Key Responsibilities for this role includes**:

- Assisting with research, design, estimation, fabrication and installation of HVAC equipment on both large and small projects.
- Assisting with 3D modelling programs such as CAD and to evolve with new BIM and Revit modelling.
- Conducting engineering calculations and assistance to analyse HVAC systems and equipment, when necessary to find inefficiencies or malfunctions and be able to create solutions to optimise performance and increase efficiency of operations.
- Support project management and general office duties associated with Engineering and Project Management tasks.
- Assisting with on-site work associated with Engineering tasks and solutions and to assist site management to achieve desired results, set out by Project Management team.

**To be successful in this role you will have all of the following attributes**:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment.
- Familiarity with 3D modelling programs such as CAD, BIM, and Revit.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to safety and adherence to safety policies and procedures.
