We're looking for a skilled and proactive
Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering Services team at Trevelyan's. In
this hands-on role, you'll help keep our equipment and facilities running
smoothly, designing and fabricating new parts and machinery, and supporting
continuous improvement across our operations.

Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a key role
in ensuring our site and machinery are maintained to the highest standard,
supporting efficient, safe, and reliable production. From repairs and
preventative maintenance to design and fabrication, you'll work closely with
our Maintenance and Engineering Manager and wider team to deliver practical
engineering solutions that keep our packhouses running at their best.

Your mahi will include:

  • Managing
    general repairs and preventative maintenance of machinery and site facilities
  • Designing,
    manufacturing, and modifying equipment and parts to meet operational needs
  • Supporting
    maintenance-related purchasing and inventory management
  • Delegating
    and supervising maintenance activities as required
  • Training
    and supporting team members in safe work practices
  • Maintaining
    accurate records of work completed
  • Ensuring
    strong Health & Safety compliance and promoting safe working behaviours
  • Contributing
    to continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives

You'll bring:

  • Practical
    problem-solver with a strong mechanical background
  • Engineering-related
    qualification preferred
  • Proven
    experience in maintenance or engineering roles
  • Skilled
    in welding, fabrication and general repairs
  • Good
    mechanical ability and hand-eye coordination
  • Solid
    understanding of Health & Safety practices
  • Strong
    communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills
