Our Te Aroha site in the Waikato is one of Silver Fern Farms most modern and up to date processing facilities in NZ, employing up to 440 people at the peak of the season.

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Maintenance Fitter/Engineer to join our engineering team, responsible for the hands-on day to day mechanical repairs and maintenance within our strong, stable and progressive engineering team of 15.

**The successful applicant will possess the following skills and attributes**:

- Relevant Trades Qualification (Level 4 Mechanical Diagnostics | Fitter/Turner | Fitter/Welder and L4 Automotive Engineer | Time spent LV/ HD Mechanic)
- Good knowledge of sound engineering principals and repairs and maintenance procedures on a large industrial processing site - or a passion to learn in this environment.
- Ability to analyse problems and implement effective solutions in a timely manner and communicate this with those around you.
- Be self-motivated and capable of working both independently and within a tight knit team of engineering support
- Organised, with the ability to plan and prioritise workload in a challenging engineering environment and lead by example from the front.
- Desire to keep learning and upskill - be this in a leadership scope or dual trading in to electrical - refrigeration or even project design.

Our site operates both day and evening shifts. Our team of Maintenance teams are required to work to a roster covering production hours which run between 6am and 3am Monday to Friday and often include overtime during the day on Saturdays so flexibility to business needs - or understanding of this is important - but in return we will provide you with good $, some great training /development and a stellar team of work mates who not only want to see you succeed - but will support you along the way.
