**What you’ll be doing | Te whakamahere**
The Director Missions and Events leads and empowers a team to deliver world-class events and experiences, providing a centre of excellence across our global network, ensuring we embrace digital innovation and best practice for how we approach events internationally.
You will provide New Zealand based leadership for international trade missions to generate impactful outcomes for customers. You will also provide a lead role for NZTE working across NZ Inc to ensure cross-government initiatives and our major events strategy and sponsorships make a real and positive difference to New Zealand.

**What you’ll need to be successful | Ō Pūkenga**
To be successful in this role you will have worked at a senior level within a commercial/business environment with proven experience developing and delivering on strategy and operational plans. You will be a seasoned people-leader who is skilled at enabling a team to deliver impactful outcomes for customers. A background in events is an essential requirement for this role along with an understanding of government processes and the subtle balances required in public/private partnerships.
