We have an exciting opportunity for a technical leader to shape and drive analysis for improved intelligence outcomes on strategic threats. The team provides ongoing capability development and analytic support while quickly pivoting to meet operational demands. The team leader will be fully performing when staff have the tools and skills to quickly-respond to operational requirements. This team sits in the Intelligence Directorate's Analysis Branch and can be based in Wellington or Auckland. Travel will be required to support the team.
As Technical Leader you will shape the unit's long-term strategy, design data-driven solutions, and provide both technical and personal guidance to your staff. You will have the opportunity to identify, design and lead projects that use unique datasets from a variety of sources and rapidly deliver new capabilities.
The team will need to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships to develop this mission. Those relationships are essential to identify mission opportunities and ensure our analysis and capabilities meet customer demands.
**To be successful in this role you will**:
- Have a strong foundation of technical and analytical skills
- Identify innovative and unique opportunities to drive the development of the intelligence mission
- Build, maintain, and leverage strong relationships to respond to and anticipate the needs of the mission
