**Job Title**:Technical Officer**

**Location: Auckland**

This role will be a permanent, full-time position and will be guaranteed 40 hours of work per week. You will be paid an hourly rate of NZD 29.66 NZD 30.00 depending on your experience and skill level. Paid fortnightly, 4 weeks annual leave, Statutory holidays, Sick and bereavement leave. Opportunities to upskill.
- Formulate and approve potency adjustments and calculations for technical specifications, product, materials, packing instructions.
- Assess technical, scientific data and review documentation for new formulations, raw materials, and packaging.
- Compile and approve technical specifications and testing parameters for laboratory experiments.
- Perform independent analytical work complying with GMP standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Generate, review, or approve SOPs, PIRs, packing instructions, RMS, PFS, labels, BOM, HALAL compliance, protocols, MDR, and associated technical and quality records.
- Prepare and review validation protocols for equipment, machinery, product stability, manufacturing processes, testing method development.
- Ensure accuracy of technical documentation, protocols, and timely development.
- Manage communication with external labs and review/respond to external testing costs and methods.
- Investigate out-of-specification events and customer complaints.
- Identify, perform and manage risk assessments for scientific technical activities.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory standards and establish procedures and systems to maintain standards.
- Develop a strong working knowledge of health supplement requirements and stay up to date on changes.
- Proactively drive root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
- Provide technical support to the manufacturing team and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during production.
- Ensure confidentiality of obtained information and adhere to company policies and standards.
- Develop and deliver training to employees on technical and quality-related topics.
- Adhere to health and safety policies.
- Perform any other duties and tasks requested by the company.

**To be considered for this position**:

- Tertiary qualificaion in Food Science, Nutrition, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Pharmacology or equivalent is an advantage.
- Minimmum of 3 years related experience in ingredient, food, or nutraceutical manufacturing.
- Experience in conducting investigations for product failure, such as quality attributes, potency, processes, visual characteristics etc.
- Great trouble shooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyse big data set is an advantage.
- Proven track record of support in food manufacturing environment.
- High attention to details, perform tasks in a methodical and thorough manner within scheduled timeframe and strong drive for improvement.
- Develop constructive relationships to support our diverse teams.
