**The Company**
Our client is a well-established food manufacturing business selling world class products to food manufacturing and food service customers in NZ and overseas. They have recently developed a brand-new and exciting product range and have commissioned a state-of-the-art production line to manufacture those.

This position can either be based at their manufacturing site in Hastings or out of your home office in Auckland.

**The Opportunity**
Reporting to the General Manager, you will drive new product innovation maximising the capabilities of the new production line as well as business development looking after a wide range of established and new customers across NZ, Australia and the US.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Actively look for innovation and develop the concept, product development, sales, and marketing execution plan
- Create and develop sales strategies in conjunction with the GM
- Manage existing key accounts
- Identify and develop new markets, channels, category and product initiatives
- Develop best practice sales and marketing processes
- Tertiary qualification (ideally food science/ technology or similar)
- Min 5 years food industry B2B/ food service sales experience
- New product innovation experience
- Entrepreneurial and commercial acumen; strong negotiation skills
- A customer-centric approach, with proven relationship-building, communication skills, and strong team-orientation
- A proactive, enthusiastic attitude with high levels of drive and initiative
- The desire to develop, grow and embrace new ideas and strategies
