The MS Engineer (L3) is responsible for providing a service to clients by proactively identifying and resolving technical incidents and problems. Through preemptive service incident and resolution activities, as well as product reviews, operational improvements, operational practices and quality assurance this role will maintain a high level of service to clients. Their primary objective is to ensure zero missed service level agreement (SLA) conditions.

The MS Engineer (L3) is responsible for managing tickets of high complexity, conducts advanced and complicated tasks, and provides resolution to a diverse range of complex problems. This position uses considerable judgement and independent analysis within defined policies and practices. Applies analytical thinking and deep technical expertise in achieving client outcomes, while coaching and mentoring junior team members across functions.

We are looking for a Systems Engineer L3 to join our team in central Auckland.

**Key Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Work in a team to provide 3rd level support for Windows servers and services
- Management of VMware and Hyper-V hypervisors and guests
- Troubleshoot & resolve incidents within SLAs
- Communicate with customers and stakeholders
- Maintain process and technology documentation
- Provide expertise in services including backup/restore, monitoring, print serving, file replication, server hardware, patch management, disaster recovery etc
- Operational support, Agile project work and Service Improvement
- You will be working in a large-scale enterprise environment with exposure to new technologies as they evolve
- Be able to do rotational on-call once you are familiar with the environment
**About you**:

- Previous 3rd level systems administration experience supporting Windows Server platforms (2003 - 2019) and related systems is essential
- Experience supporting Microsoft Technologies like AD, DNS, DFS, DHCP, PKI, IIS, Windows Printing
- Experience with Windows backup technologies
- Experience supporting virtualization technologies
- Experience supporting enterprise sized clients
- Professionalism and technical excellence
- Excellent problem-solving/troubleshooting skills and initiative
- Good communication and intrapersonal skills, and be a team player
- You will need the right to work full-time in New Zealand
