**About the Organisation**:
The New Zealand Intelligence Community (NZIC) is looking for an experienced Intermediate or Senior Network Engineer with the necessary ‘tight-lipped’ skills to get amongst enhancing Aotearoa’s national security.

**About You**:
Networks are a bit of a passion for you. You know how to get them sorted, and how to make them as robust and secure as possible. It’s what you do
You will:
- Be a focused and proactive network engineering expert, with the proficiency to oversee the lifecycle of network and security environments
- Have a strong foundation of networking skills and experience including: TCP/IP, Telephony and VTC systems, LAN, WAN management, switching, firewalls, routing protocols and network security, and be comfortable with set up and initial configuration, moves, adds and changes, troubleshooting and resolving issues with all the devices.
- Have experience with identifying, diagnosing and resolving network issues, and using a range of tools (debugging, logs, PCAPs etc.) to assist with this.
- Have an understanding of both L2 and L3 configuration and issues. For example; link aggregation, MTU, routing (OSPF & BGP), IPSEC/MACSEC, PKI (certificates), MPLS, VRFs.
- Have excellent computer programming skills e.g. Ansible, Java, Python, scripting languages (desirable)
- Have a solid understanding of service management frameworks, such as ITIL (desirable)
