**About the role**
The Payroll Administrator works closely with the incumbent Payroll Administrator, the NZ Finance Team and the NZ People & Culture Team to perform all activities necessary to process end-to-end payroll across the Rocket Lab NZ and Australia entities. This includes maintaining appropriate records, filing tax reports, preparing accounting transactions and reporting for management. The Payroll Administrator will also perform non-payroll activities, mainly assisting in the Operational Finance area, when not required to undertake payroll tasks e.g., during non-pay week.

**Essential Skills**
- Has extensive hands-on experience in NZ payroll processes in large organisations, including month-end accounting, reconciliations, taxation and reporting.
- Upholds a high level of integrity and respects privacy in dealing with personal [GB1]information.
- Is experienced in administrating internal controls & associated internal policies across payroll processes.
- Has strong systems skills, particularly tier-one ERP and payroll systems with advanced skills in Excel and Word.
- Is a strong team player who is also capable of working independently.
- Is a quick learner who can be adaptable to change in fast-paced environments.

**Desirable Skills**
- Has had an exposure to share-based compensation.
- Has a general understanding of Australian payroll requirements.
