H2R Consulting are working with a wellington based organisation to locate a Senior Payroll Advisor.

The Payroll advisor will provide Payroll support to our people, including the provision of advice on legislation, terms & condition and policy as and when required. You will also provide seamless support to the People / HR team to enable us to deliver a high quality service, ensuring we meet our goals within the people plan.

Tasks include:

- Responsibility for ensuring all fortnightly payroll activity is completed on time.
- Responsible for deliverables being met each pay period, processes are efficient and effective and meet people’s needs.
- Build the knowledge and capability of our people through the provision of high quality advice, particularly around payroll legislation and procedures.
- Ensure payroll needs are met with the provision of helpful and pertinent advice.
- Provide guidance to leaders on all payroll issues, including terms and conditions, leave, Kiosk, internal movements, and other issues as appropriate.
- Take a lead on payroll activity - this will be responsibility for and leading day to day administration around parental leave activity, change of terms and conditions, extensions, previous service activity, superannuation calculations and administration.
- Identify opportunities to improve and simplify payroll processes to create a great experience for all our people.

At first, this is a 2.5 month role. There is potential for it to extend however. It will run from November (mid) until end of Jan. Ideal time for when the market gets busy again.
