The purpose of the Procurement Team Lead role is to ensure the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of all necessary materials and supplies required for dairy production

This role reports to the **Supply Chain Manager**
- Manage and mentor the procurement team, providing training and development opportunities
- Delegate tasks effectively to ensure timely delivery of objectives - Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- Monitor market trends and negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure cost-effective agreements
- Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Evaluate vendor performance to ensure quality cost and delivery standards are met
- Oversee the procurement workflow to enhance operational efficiency
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs and lead times.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with legal, regulatory and company policies.
- Prepare reports on purchasing metrics, budgets and cost savings.
- Establish and maintain a preferred suppliers list Contract administration

**Experience**
5 years’ experience in a similar Procurement Leadership role within the Dairy, FMCG, or Manufacturing industries
SAP/ S4 Hana will be preferred
Leading a team will be an advantage
**Skills**
Highly analytical, a strong attention to detail with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated expertise in advising management on procurement practices, with a solid grasp of procurement principles and best practices.
Strong leadership and relationship management skills, coupled with effective project management capabilities.
Experience in a procurement role, with a willingness to engage in tactical responsibilities when needed.
**Qualifications**
Relevant Tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience. CIPS would be an advantage
