**About the role**
The Chief of Staff is a key part of the Executive office, providing strategic and operational support to the Secretary for Pacific Peoples. The role is responsible for enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring resources are effectively utilised, and contribute to succession planning of the Ministry. The Chief of Staff provides leadership to the Executive office (Ministerial Services and Performance teams).

**What you'll bring**
- Demonstrated commitment to working with and for Pacific peoples in Aotearoa New Zealand
- Proven ability to navigate complex situations, resolve issues effectively, and align with organisational values.
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills, including demonstrated ability to commission and/or prepare a wide range of high-quality outputs.
- Expertise in leading a team within a multi-faceted and demanding environment.
