Our name, Te Arawhiti, means ‘the bridge'. This name symbolises the bridge between Māori and the Crown, the past, the present and the future, and the journey from grievance to true Treaty partnership.

**Te āhuatunga a te tūranga/About the Role**

The Chief Advisor is a tier 3 role reporting directly to the Tumu Whakarae and forms part of the Executive Leadership team. You will lead the Office of the Chief Executive with staff in that office and Ministerial staff reporting to you.
- The key pivot point, managing internal and external relationships on behalf of the Tumu Whakarae
- Provide high quality, strategic advice and thought leadership to the Tumu Whakarae and Executive Leadership Team
- Have a keen sense of organisational issues and provide independent advice on these

To be successful in the role you will bring:

- Knowledge of and some competency in Te Reo me ngā tikanga and a commitment to further develop your capability under Whāinga Amorangi.
- Experience in advising and supporting the development and implementation of an organisation wide strategy to improve organisational capability.
- Establishing and maintaining a range of effective internal and external business relationships and networks.
- Proven experience in working with senior managers in a large, complex organisation.
