The School of Physiotherapy strives to provide excellence in physiotherapy teaching, research, and clinical practice. Our focus is primarily on the assessment, treatment, and prevention of physical dysfunction, and in the promotion of health for people of all ages.
**_The Role/Te mahi_**
The School of Physiotherapy currently has multiple openings for highly motivated Professional Practice Fellows with a passion and enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and skills with students to work as a Yr 3 clinical educators in a variety of clinical settings from DHB Acute Wards to Community Based Rehabilitation.
Objectives:
- Support teaching across a range of papers in the clinical setting,
- This includes preparation, assessment, teaching and paper administration duties, under the supervision of the academic colleague who is responsible for course design and delivery;
- Carry out administration responsibilities; and
**_Skills and Experience/Kā pūkeka me kā wheako_**
- A positive attitude.
- Excellent communication.
- Confidence to liaise effectively with students.
- Strong verbal communications skills are essential.
- Experience with liaising with clinical partners.
- Experience with supervision of students.
- Strong clinical skills.
- Proven experience in a broad range of physiotherapy practice.
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team.

You must:
- hold registration with the NZ Physiotherapy Board,
- have a full New Zealand driver’s license,
- be compliant with the Vulnerable Children’s Act,
- be compliant with current Ministry of Health mandated requirements.

This is a part-time (10 hours per week) position and is fixed term, semester time only between February and October.
