**About The Role**:
The Trust’s highly respected CEO is moving on after many years of service and this represents a rare and outstanding opportunity to lead the strategic development of the Trust, ensuring its growth and ongoing future success conserving and encouraging the spirit of exploration for generations to come. Key responsibilities include:

- The strategic oversight and delivery of the Trust’s conservation programmes, the Ross Sea Heritage Restoration Project and the Trust’s growing international and Inspiring Explorers programmes
- Effective promotion of the Trust to attract national and international recognition and support
- Building and developing key relationships with stakeholders and partners nationally and internationally
- Developing a high performance, values-based workforce, leading through coaching and empowerment
- Maintaining and proactively securing new revenue opportunities, including donations, legacy contributions, sponsorships and grants.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Be an inspiring & seasoned leader known for providing strong leadership through maturity, personal integrity, mana/charisma & practical wisdom, motivating others through your enthusiastic approach
- Have commercial acumen, with strong strategic thinking, planning and execution skills
- Have ‘political savvy’ with a track record of building successful and sustainable relationships at a senior level with stakeholders, government agencies and other key influencers
- Enjoy networking in order to proactively secure new partnerships & revenue opportunities
- Be experienced in overseeing programmes and field operations, requiring H&S and risk assessment
- Have a collaborative mindset and strong communication skills, along with the ability to work well with a diverse range of people & cultures, across multiple stakeholder environments
- Be available to travel internationally and domestically, as and when the job requires.
