Chief Financial Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Chief Financial Officer to join us as a key member of the executive management team, reporting to our CEO.
We are at a pivotal stage of significant growth and have a new role for a CFO to lead and develop the national finance function across all divisions of the business - Kirk Roberts Consulting, KR Capital and KR Software. You will support the development and implementation of strategies to achieve our business goals across the group, as well as provide astute financial information and advice.

About the role*
As Chief Financial Officer, you will provide overall leadership, management, and control of the financial related activities of the business relating to consulting, property projects, software, and the share trust. Your commercial skills will be applied to evaluating opportunities to support informed commercial decisions.
- Design and implement business financial strategies, and goals for performance and growth.
- Assist the Board and CEO in funding and capital structure.
- Provide information, advice, and support to the Executive Management Team for business decisions.
- Lead the finance team to ensure compliant and efficient processes that support the business.
- Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances), including financial analysis and assessment of risk.
- Provide budgets and forecasting to meet the needs of the companies in the group.
- Establish financial policies that promote the company culture and vision.
- Enhance risk management processes in the business.
- Set up and oversee the company’s finance IT system.

About you*
- BCom in Accounting or Finance is essential, and MBA or CA or CPA or equivalent is desirable.
- Proven experience as CFO, Financial Controller, or Finance Manager within the professional services industry.
- Proven track record of success in strategic planning, business development and financial improvement, taking a business through dynamic change or achieving significant growth targets.
- Knowledge of corporate financial law, risk management practices, budgeting, cash flow management, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping, IT/Business infrastructure, plus accounting software is essential
- Knowledge and experience of property development and funding, or software development, is desirable.
- Excellent skills in data analytics and forecasting, supported by sound judgment and problem solving; with the ability to communicate financial information in a transparent and understandable manner.
- Supportive and collaborative member of the executive management team, ability to guide sound decision making and continuous business improvement.
- Lead and mentor the finance team providing technical guidance and career development.
- Skilled negotiator and communicator able to foster positive long-term relationships with key financial institutes and stakeholders.
- Highly organised and proactive, with strong initiative and ideas.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; resilient, empathy for others, sociable and friendly, with a positive and approachable manner.
