**About The Role**:
Positioning for the future and the need for succession planning for the 5 Directors has driven the development of this newly created Chief Executive Officer position. Reporting to the Board and leading the team of 60, you will continue to grow and develop this market leading and innovative business, with a focus to:

- revisit and execute the strategic plan;
- lead the culture and ensure the retention and development of our people;
- oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring branch collaboration, efficiencies and standardisation of processes/systems;
- deliver consistent shareholder value;
- lead a sustainable and profitable services & product portfolio.

The location is preferably Christchurch; however Wellington could be considered.

**Skills & Experience**:
We are looking for an experienced generalist GM/CEO who is an all-rounder and can hit the ground running to lead this business to the next level. You will have:

- A very down to earth, collaborative and practical style, willing to roll up your sleeves;
- A strong people focus with a track record of successfully leading, developing and mentoring them;
- Demonstrated high levels of commercial and financial acumen, experienced working with a board and executing strategy;
- Good networking, business development, marketing and relationship building skills;
- Ideally several years’ experience in the building industry/adjacent sector; a technical understanding of products and services, contract management/negotiation and construction sales.
- Good working knowledge of business processes, Health and Safety, HR, IT, CRM and financial systems, with experience ensuring consistency across operations.
