CoreStaff is partnering with a highly regarded Northern Territory based development, hospitality and construction group to appoint a Chief Financial Officer during a significant phase of growth and capital deployment.

With a substantial live project portfolio exceeding $500M, a strong forward tender pipeline, and interests across construction, property development and hospitality assets, this organisation requires a CFO who is both strategic and hands on, capable of operating at executive and board level while maintaining strong commercial discipline across complex project environments.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Managing Director & CEO and working closely with the COO and Advisory Board, the CFO will assume responsibility for the entire financial function across a multi entity group.

This is a genuinely rare role in the business, with influence across strategy, funding, governance and operational decision making.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Leading group wide financial strategy, planning and performance management
  • Oversight of project cashflow, cost control and margin performance
  • Managing relationships with banks, financiers, bond providers and external advisors
  • Delivering board-level reporting, forecasting and commercial insights
  • Supporting funding structures for major construction, defence and civic projects
  • Ensuring robust governance, compliance and risk management
  • Working alongside their third party advisory firm to drive best-practice reporting and systems

What we are looking for:

We are seeking a commercially focused CFO with experience in construction, development, infrastructure or similarly capital intensive sectors.

The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial environment and confident managing complexity, scale and growth.

You will bring:

  • An adaptable personality and good attitude
  • Proven CFO or senior finance leadership experience within multi entity organisation
  • Strong expertise in project based financial management and cashflow modelling
  • Demonstrated capability managing lender and investor relationships
  • Experience presenting to boards and executive stakeholders
  • CA / CPA or equivalent professional qualifications
  • Experience working with Tier 1 professional services firms is advantageous
