As part of our organisation wide transformation, our Data, Statistics and Analytics department are specialising their practice and, as a result, this exciting Adviser opportunity has become available. If you are an experienced data practitioner looking for your next challenge in a collaborative and high performing data and analytics department, look no further The Information, Data and Analytics Group are a critical function within our organisation and are responsible for setting bank-wide information and data strategy and policy. They are also responsible for the collection, storage, analysis, and dissemination of data to support evidence-based decision-making across the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ). This group manages Bank-wide partnership activities and conducts intelligence gathering and provides insights to the RBNZ and its stakeholders, working in partnership with Digital Solutions who own the platforms and products that house RBNZ data. Te tūranga - The role Adviser, Data Development - Wellington or Auckland based The Adviser Data Development is a leadership role within the Data, Statistics and Analytics department and reports to the Data Development Manager. The Adviser will use their expertise on statistical methods, systems and tools to lead data initiatives that will better enable data-driven decision-making at the Bank. Data will usually be sourced from RBNZ regulated entities, in the form of aggregated survey collections or more granular datasets - each requiring different tools to design, build, and utilise them well. In addition to leading specific projects, the Adviser oversees and provides technical guidance on a range of initiatives from across the wider Department. This will involve coaching other team members and prioritising initiatives to manage our development work programme in a sustainable way. The Adviser Data Development is expected to collaborate effectively within and across departments to achieve the RBNZ's objectives, shape the department's work programme and drive initiatives to transform processes and obtain more value from data and statistics. Stakeholder engagement skills will be important to learn about what data users need and collaborate on delivering great data products and services. - at least 6 years' experience in a relevant or related area to data, with experience gained in a statistics and/or a financial institution
- a demonstrated ability to lead project work from an end to end perspective, and ideally have experience implementing data innovation initiatives
- strong relationship management skills and experience working with a range of internal and external stakeholders
