Adviser Development Manager

As an Adviser Development Manager, you will have the opportunity to build strong relationships with advisers in the Aligned Advice channel and identify growth opportunities within this channel to achieve business targets.
You will work with the HO Aligned Advice to build the culture and conduct of the AIA FAP and its authorised bodies. Your role will be critical in developing and implementing effective coaching and upskilling strategies to achieve Aligned Advice goals in a compliant manner and provide good client outcomes for New Zealanders seeking trusted financial advice.
This means that you’ll:
- Contribute to the growth of Aligned Advice channel by identifying both existing advisers and new recruits to Aligned Advice channel who would be a good fit culturally and meet the FAP entry requirements- Develop and deliver retention activities and maintain regular and appropriate contact with advisers to motivate and maintain market activity from each one- Provide active feedback and analysis on market and industry trends, participate in product development initiatives, and deliver presentations as required- Establish the necessary activity to initiate a continuous uplift in AIA Vitality growth- Be an active AIA Aligned Advice channel brand ambassador and influencer both internally and externally, to ensure the brand profile is elevated and key relationships strengthened- Plan, facilitate, and run Coach Club sessions to enhance advise skills with the purpose of delivering more meaningful and productive client conversations.
We're looking for someone that brings:
- A growth mindset and enjoys striving for 1% improvement every day- Comprehensive understanding of the insurance industry, and ideally the AIA product range- High level of understanding and proven success in coaching for performance, relationship management, and risk management skills- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage shifting priorities and timeframes- Relevant sales or leadership and management experience, financial services, distribution, and agency experience- Experience in workshop facilitation, presentation, and training- Flexibility to travel domestically and to entertain clients outside of working hours- A New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (NZCFS Level 5 Version 2) is preferred- A passion for helping New Zealanders protect what matters most.
