High Performance Sport New Zealand's (HPSNZ) vision is to inspire the nation through more New Zealanders winning on the world stage at Olympic/Paralympic Games and World Championships, with a focus on targeted sports.

We are now recruiting for Regional Performance Pathway Leads to work within the HPSNZ Performance Pathways Team to support Sports with the identification and development of regionally based athletes and their coaches, across Podium and Aspirational Sports, who are developing and demonstrating the right attributes, abilities, and motivation for future international success.

We are looking for someone who can coordinate the delivery of holistic athlete and coach development and transition support to enable them to navigate pathways ahead. Developing and maintaining HPSNZ operational plans to support regionally based athletes or coach to optimize their full potential in sport and life.

**You will have a proven record in**:

- Working with stakeholders to support the development of pictures of performance, including intelligence based pathway transitions, have insights relating to performance potential and performance trajectory.
- Using a range of analytical techniques to uncover and validate pathway insights and coach intelligence.
- The ability to work collaboratively and develop stakeholder relationships through strong and proven interpersonal skills from elite to development communities
- Desire to continuously learn and develop in a complex and ever-changing environment with ability to be agile and responsive in decision making and support.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Partnering with National Sports Organisations (NSO) and Regional Sports Organisations (RSO) to identify regionally based athletes and coaches who are demonstrating future potential benchmarked against sporting pathways.
- Ensuring a holistic approach to athlete and coach development and transition management that is safe, supported and specific, balancing the short with long term demands for success in sport and life.
- Benchmarking regional athletes and coaches against evidence-based pathways, gathering intelligence over time to support NSOs to make better informed decisions.
- Connecting identified athletes and coaches to national pathways.
- Supporting regional partners to deliver quality learning environments to optimize Sport led pathways
