**ABOUT THE SILVER FERNS**:
The New Zealand Silver Ferns are the national netball team of New Zealand. Netball is a popular sport in New Zealand, and the Silver Ferns are one of the top-ranked Netball teams in the world. The Silver Ferns have a rich history of success in international netball competitions, over the years with key events including the Netball World Cup and the Commonwealth Games. The Silver Ferns have a dedicated fan base and are recognised for their skill, athleticism, and sportsmanship on and off the court.

**ROLE SUMMARY**:
Provide overarching Sports Medicine leadership to Netball New Zealand and the wider netball high performance system

**ABOUT YOU**:

**Qualifications**:
Required: Medical Degree and a post-graduate qualification in Sport Medicine.

Desirable, but not essential to be a Fellow of the Australasian College of Sports Physicians.

**Experience**:
Required: Proven experience working with world class athletes in elite sporting environments.

Desirable, but not essential a history of supporting elite female athletes.

**Other**:

- Experience in research, report writing, strategy and policy preparation and implementation desirable.
- Evidence of the ability to communicate across disciplines and organisations would be beneficial.
- Broad high performance sporting sector knowledge and experience
- Communicates in a clear and evident manner using the HP systems, process and procedure
- Builds effective relationships with athletes to create open and honest environments.
- Dedicated, highly motivated, professional, enthusiastic and empathetic
- Listens to athletes and creates environments for mutual interactions
- Conveys credibility, driving influence and ensuring 'buy in' from athletes
- Quickly establishes and maintains rapport and effective relationships at all levels, with both internal and external stakeholders
- Can set objectives and measures with a wider vision for the game.
- Works in a methodical, well-planned and organised manner
- Future orientated and visionary
- Motivated by a growth mind set
- A strong awareness and understanding of Emotional and Cultural Intelligence (EQ/CQ)
- Skilled at prioritising, delegating tasks, and making decisions fast when required.
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills that generate mutual respect and trust
