Abano Healthcare Group is the operator of one of the largest trans-Tasman dental groups, with a team of over 2000 across 200+ practices that make up "Maven Dental" and "1300SMILES Dentists" in Australia, and "Lumino The Dentists" in New Zealand. This role will be based in our Auckland Central Office. **The Role** In partnership with key business stakeholders this role will lead the development of a robust people plan to meet strategic and operational objectives. Workforce planning, capability development and employee engagement strategies are key areas of focus including the implementation of robust cyclical processes leveraging all aspects of the employment lifecycle to better attract, engage and retain high performing team members. **Accountabilities**: **Enhance the Patient Experience** - Partner with key business stakeholders to develop and implement a workforce plan for the region. - Provide strategic advice on all People matters mitigating risk to the business and achieving best practice people outcomes - Providing coaching and mentoring to leaders on HR / BAU specific processes to create efficiencies and enhance capability. - Drive process improvements in order to strengthen compliance controls, maximise efficiencies and enhance the employee experience **Develop an Engaged and Capable **Organisation** - Be a role model, mentor and coach within the P & C function - In partnership with the Capability Development Lead deliver relevant capability program to practice and support office leaders with a focus on developing our people, - Drive engagement across the organisation to enhance the employee experience and improve employee retention. - Implement cyclical talent management program and strategies focused on building a clear succession pipeline for pivotal roles **Profitable Growth** - Partner with the ROM to undertake regular practice reviews and identify potential workforce cost saving opportunities and efficiencies - Ensure claims are managed in line with the requirements of the relevant industrial instrument or system in the region (Fair Work Australia, National Employment Standards, NZ Labour Inspectorate) **Operation**al & Clinical Excellence** - Lead the team of People Partners and People & C Administrators in the region to provide support to the business leaders in all people matters - Manage ER/IR case load including employee issues, grievances and complaints identifying systemic issues across the network - Partner with business stakeholders to resolve systemic issues driving a culture of awareness and accountability - Contribute to the strategic direction of the business by implementing P & C policies and efficient procedures - Drive the calendar of events to Implement cyclical processes including annual remuneration review, performance assessments, engagement surveys and talent mapping - Lead P & C projects and implement change initiatives to support business change in line with strategic objectives. - Support the HRIS implementation to enable effective use of the system by business leaders and employees. - Use data to identify systemic issues and provide meaningful insights to support business leaders including monthly metrics and employee surveys. - Support wellbeing initiatives within the region. - Oversee management of workers compensation and return to work claims with a view to minimise operational impact and reduce lost time costs - Proven experience leading teams to partner effectively with business stakeholders and drive effective workforce outcomes - Experience supporting business leaders to drive effective workforce management during periods of change and operational growth - Ability to plan and support the business to resolve systemic issues through consultation and effective partnering - Ability to manage grievances, complaints and serious employment matters in line with - Be capable of driving and embedding change and the ability to work with a variety of business stakeholders to implement initiatives. - Be organised and have the ability to communicate effectively across all parts of the business during times of change and growth across the organisation - Ability to analyse employee data and key metrics to develop meaningful insights - A passion for driving culture and engagement programs as the business continues to evolve - Demonstrated our values in every interaction with our employees and leaders across the business - A tertiary qualification in HRM or related professional experience desirable. **Why Abano Healthcare?** **Our Values** Our values underpin our shared commitment to deliver our vision to be the Leading Oral Healthcare provider in Australasia - We take the time to care - We respect each other - We play as a team - We only bring our best.
