**Mō tēnei tūranga | About this role**

Embark on a transformative journey as the Manager of Planning and Reporting where you can lead with purpose, orchestrating resources and strategies to drive outcomes that resonate with our core mission.

As a cornerstone of our newly established Education Workforce Programme Delivery team, this role is pivotal in guiding and supporting programs that define the future of Education Workforce. This role will facilitate seamless collaboration between project teams, stakeholders, and leadership, ensuring alignment and coherence in every initiative.

Beyond oversight, this role will be the catalyst of progress, steering projects towards success through programme monitoring, performance reporting, risk assessment, and resource allocation. There will be Programme and Project Management oversight, and this will set the standards that underpin our group's work program, establishing a consistent and efficient approach across all projects.

Collaboration and strategic alignment will be critical as this role works alongside the Practice Lead, ensuring that projects not only meet but enhance our strategic goals. The ability to construct effective communication loops between teams will be integral to gathering vital project reporting for governance.

This is a pivotal role that will not only shape projects but also contribute to the larger narrative of our Ministry's impact.

**Main responsibilities will include**:

- Manage the monitoring and reporting processes around programme and project progress and deliverables.
- Provides the support to governance in setting direction, managing and monitoring implementation, and ensuring benefit realisation and sector outcomes.
- Convenes and attends meetings with key internal and external stakeholders to address specific issues and generate solutions, and has the ability to influence thinking and decisions
- Work with the Practice Manager to ensure effective resource allocation and management, and to build feedback loops for reporting.
- Ensures a comprehensive risk management approach to the way the work is managed on a day to day basis.
- Collaborate across the Ministry to lead and manage plans and workflows, incorporating technical expertise as needed to deliver improved services and outcomes.
- Lead, manage and contribute to the monitoring and reporting of delivery against workplans and outcomes.
- Provides leadership, clear direction and expectation of performance and standards.
- Works closely with other managers taking a ‘whole of organisation' and ‘whole of sector' approach to delivery.
- Develops a customer service ethos that focuses on the provision of high quality, proactive and timely service, support and advice.
