**About the role**

Our amazing HR Systems Manager is taking parental leave, and we are looking for someone to come in on fixed-term contract for 14 months to continue our journey to make sure our HR systems and reporting here at the CAA are high-quality and appropriate to what we need to achieve.
We have had SAP Success Factors for five years now, and we are continuing to grow and embed the capability in the organisation, we are at an exciting time in our systems journey. On the horizon we are planning our Onboarding 2.0 implementation, considering mobile enablement and are on an ongoing report automation journey.

**Key responsibilities for the role**
- Lead a small team to develop and implement the system strategy and workplan for the Authority’s Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), People Reporting and other HR Technologies.
- Contribute to the design of core HR business processes ensuring the technology supports easy user experience and delivers the business outcomes needed. We see our HR System as a key enabler and capability.
- Establish basic system administration and data quality processes, ensuring emerging trends and legislative compliance feature in the design of business process.
- Establish and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and vendors including coordinating user fault and reporting channels to understand and report on issues and deliver improvements and fixes.
- Lead HRIS projects and initiatives to improve organisational efficiency, productivity, and compliance redesigning business process and leveraging opportunities to enhance the value of the HRIS for the Authority and solve business challenges.
- Lead and support our accountability reporting to Ministers, our Board and public service as well as general people reporting.

- Demonstrated experience in leading or influencing a team of specialists to deliver services in an HR or Systems context.
- Reflects the Authority’s values in how they engage and interact with people as part of their everyday work.
- Has invested time and effort to develop as a people leader.
**Role specific**
- A solid understanding of human resource practices and human centred service design.
- Familiar with HRIS systems including SAP Success Factors and has a high technical aptitude for and proven experience in developing and managing information system technology and processes for an organisation.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation that impacts on the operation of HRIS services and business needs that impact system configuration and ongoing maintenance.
- Fully conversant in data management practices, with a focus on sustainability and integrity in systems of record, secure data technology, and transparency of process.
- Sound understanding of the collection, interpretation, and uses of HR information, including proficiency at using reporting tools to extract data and convey this to a variety of audiences.
- Skilled at communicating complex ideas and issues in simple, clear language so that others understand.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships and professional credibility with internal and external key stakeholders, including supporting the capability uplift and confidence of users.
- Demonstrated ability to influence leaders, establish and maintain collaborative partnerships and provide ongoing thought leadership.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, good business judgment and strong customer focus.
- Solid strategic planning and operational implementation skills with demonstrated ability to see and understand ‘the big picture’.
- A proven ability to make quality decisions across your area of responsibility, and build and maintain systems, frameworks and processes that enable the organisation to deliver on Government expectations.
- Proactive in using indicators and metrics to identify issues and opportunities and provide added value and cost-effective solutions to problems.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
