Mō te tūranga - About the role The Head of External Reporting within ANZ’s Financial Control function leads the preparation of ANZ NZ’s external financial reports, ensuring full compliance with IFRS, ANZ policies, and all statutory and regulatory obligations. In this role, you will provide strategic financial insights to senior stakeholders on business and regulatory initiatives, manage key relationships with external auditors, and represent ANZ in influential forums such as RBNZ and NZBA. You will also oversee subsidiary statutory reporting and internal Board reporting, ensuring strong governance, accuracy, and timely delivery across all processes. The Head of External Reporting position heads ANZ’s accomplished External Reporting team and is a dynamic and impactful role with a broad range of responsibilities. Some of your day-to-day activities may include: Lead the planning, communication, and delivery of ANZ NZ’s statutory and regulatory reporting, ensuring accuracy, insightful supporting documentation, and preparation of Board papers that meet external reporting requirements. Oversee subsidiary reporting processes end-to-end, maintaining rigorous quality assurance and compliance standards to deliver timely and reliable outcomes.
