**Role Purpose**: As a People and Culture Advisor, you will play a vital role in providing expertise and guidance to leaders, managers, and kaimahi (employees) across all areas of people and culture. This includes ensuring compliance with the organisation's process and policy requirements. You will be responsible for delivering core people and culture functions, covering employment relations, remuneration, kaimahi experience (recruitment, welcome, retention, and farewell), performance management, HRIS support, reporting, administration, and capability development. Your ability to foster strong relationships and a values-led approach will be crucial in creating a positive workplace experience.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide people and culture expertise to leaders, managers, and kaimahi on all people and culture areas, ensuring alignment with the organisation's process and policy requirements.
- Deliver core people and culture functions, including but not limited to employment relations, remuneration, kaimahi experience (recruitment, welcome, retention, and farewell), performance management, HRIS support, reporting, administration, and capability development.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local leaders, managers, and kaimahi, delivering a quality, customer-centric, and values-led approach to people and culture.
- Contribute to and enhance PCW (People and Culture) expertise through active participation in PCW communities of practice and the development of national frameworks, policies, and standards within cooperative and virtual teams.

**To be Successful in this role you will have**:

- A minimum degree level qualification in Human Resources, or a related field, or the equivalent body of knowledge gained through experience.
- Proven experience working in a people, culture, and wellbeing team, providing advice and support across all people and culture functions in support of organisational delivery.
- Previous involvement in developing People and Culture (PCW) frameworks, policies, standards, and implementing these within the organisation.
- Knowledge and understanding of the vocational education sector is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly the ability to partner with others through relationship building and influencing.
- Experience in supporting the inclusion of Te Tiriti o Waitangi practices in a workplace setting.
- Experience in supporting and advocating the use of te reo, tikanga, and mātauranga Māori in the workplace.
- Demonstrated practice in advocating and supporting approaches that promote equity and prioritise the needs of priority groups.
