ConsultANZ is looking for a Safety Advisor who has demonstrated experience in managing Health and Safety across civil engineering projects in New Zealand.

**Main Duties**
Your responsibilities include such as, but are not limited to:

- Ensure the Safe Work Instruction are all in line with legislative requirements.
- Work alongside the H&S Manager to administer the Health&Safety, Environment, and quality system.
- Manage and report on safety performance in-line with Project WHS management systems.
- Offer advice, interpretation, and direction to Management regarding statutory requirements and advancements in best practices within the OH&S sector.
- Identify areas of risk through trend analysis and effectively implement proactive controls and targeted audits to mitigate potential risks.
- Ensure training and education regarding systems, statutory appointments, hazard awareness, reporting, and duty of care is provided and recorded.

**About you**
- 5+ years experience in a similar role, ideally in civil engineering, water infrastructure, or construction environment.
- Have a degree, diploma or relevant certificate in Health and Safety.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships internally as well as externally.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret project-related documents, prepare reports and monitor compliance documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and can provide practical solutions to a problem.
