**About the role**

What a location Based in the “golden triangle” you will be centred between Auckland, Tauranga and Hamilton whilst having the Coromandel Peninsula at your doorstep Roles like this do not come up often in locations like this.

Based in Thames we have on offer a critical support role for three new Municipal collections contracts including kerbside collections of multiple waste streams and operation of transfer stations.

This role involves supporting the operational team in establishing and maintaining the highest standards of compliance for health, safety, environmental and quality while minimising risk to our team and customers.

**About you**

The person we seek must be proactive in approach, empowering the team to be able to operate with confidence in compliance whilst ensuring we work productively in a challenging environment. No two days will be the same, you will be challenged at times, but you will also be rewarded with the satisfaction of delivering excellent service to the community while seeing the team go home safely.

Key attributes that we seek include,
- A working knowledge of relevant Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and standards and compliance
- Management of statutory requirements
- ACC (NZ) experience
- Knowledge of NZTA requirements and traffic management planning advantageous
- Some logistics, transport or waste industry experience would be favourable
- Experience working with local authorities
- Strong training and presentation skills
- Auditing or investigation experience
- Excellent record keeping and organisation skills
- Strong communication and ICT capability
- Tertiary qualifications in safety, environment or related studies
